Went for a walk to the shady woods a ways behind the strip, stuck cat food in the carrier, water outside, opened the door, and sat several meters away for about twenty minutes until it felt safe and well enough to eat, drink, and groom itself before waddling away into the woods, right as rain.

Hello I am a veterinary surgical assistant and ICU nurse, and today my job was to take apart and reach into a dryer exhaust vent, grab the live starling trapped inside like a banana, and carry it outside, for the third time this spring. (Pls don't handle wildlife without reason and licensure)
