I write RPGs & Science Fiction. Find me on Patreon, Drive Thru RPG, & Amazon. Progressive. Leftist. Pro-Union. Pro-Heaux. Devastatingly versed in random facts. Kind of a Super Villain. He/Him.
I made dinner. Come eat. (I couldn’t get any Cotijo or Queso Fresco, don’t @ me.)
And here’s Shavv! As I told @briankcooke.bsky.social, I’m honestly surprised I managed to pull this out of my brain, given the cliffs I’m climbing in terms of recovering my skills. But I’m not complaining. SFW versions. Crappy background, I know. I’m still getting my art-legs back, you know.
I’m making Chilé Colorado (as best I can with what I have, I can’t find good dried peppers in my area, don’t @ me for using dry spices). Anyway. Come eat.
How it’s going. There are a lot of outfit layers on this one. I MIGHT post more than one when this is done.
And some days, I manage to latch onto the old jones, and I make myself proud. #WIP of the latest art therapy piece. Here’s Cyberpunk gal Shavv bein’ flirty. Glowy dyed tips on her hair. Let’s go, brain recovery! I made like a half dozen outfit layers on @jazzelves.bsky.social’s encouragement.
Kidd Video have confirmed that they will not be performing at the America 250 Celebration Concert.
Please enjoy this video of my very needy and gorgeous cat who actually stopped making all the noise in the world long enough for me to narrate this video of her getting loved on.
There’s a coffee kiosk near my house that I noticed was advertising a black tea & yuzu iced tea as part of their menu. Told myself that it was now my mission to try it. Took about a week, but mom and I went there today. I think it’s safe to say I really enjoyed it.
The images in question! This week’s art therapy. Alice doing the shadow bra and the negative space version I mentioned seeing as I was putting down the lines. Back to digital inking in Procreate rather than pencils.
Okay, to make @briankcooke.bsky.social and a few others happy, here’s the full Warhol Square for the minimalist art therapy from the past week. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.
I have bowed to peer pressure, and did the fourth part of the complete Warhol Square. Never let it be said I cannot be swayed.
Some of this week’s art therapy. I find that doing focused pieces instead of full-body images works better for my brain for some reason. Enjoy some variations on a theme, or “what can be done when you duplicate the line-art layer a few times.” Keeping it minimalist for a change.
I am so very tired of being chased by the invisible tigers. It is far too frequent for far too long. Please look at these photos of cats that are not tigers, but sometimes think they are.
So @briankcooke.bsky.social offered to let me practice some pencil colors on his recent line art, and I said sure. I’m not 100% happy with this, but I don’t hate it. I had “Inner Universe” by Origa in my head the whole time I worked on it. CW for artistic nudity. #Pencils #ArtShare #ArtTherapy
Showing my deep California roots, my solution to a particularly crappy day was to look at my mum and say “today’s been shit. You know what I need?” And without missing a beat, she said “tacos!” And she was right. So, chicken fajitas for her and quesabirria tacos for me, from Daniel’s Tacos.
Anime and music nerds will see this and say “Heck, yeah.” My only issue about this is that it doesn’t include “Blue,” arguably one of Kanno’s best pieces *ever,* but that’s less a complaint and more of a “why not include it?!” Slowly rebuilding my vinyl collection. So very slowly.
Be a bigot, get a block. Them’s the rules. U/N’s a racist dog whistle in itself, but that’s not all! Three or four posts on the user’s main feed, but a reply list full of bigotry and other awfulness. Just a PSA.
CW for nudity, but this is what I managed to do for art therapy this week when I told myself I was allowed to get messy with my colors. iPad, Procreate, Apple Pencil, and Alice and her flat in a mirror’s eye view.
Update! Shading is happening. I feel like I’m fucking it up by having such clear delineations between the grades of shadow. I might start moving away from “ink” colors and move to a “pencil” brush approach. Not sure. We’ll see. Anyway. No migraines yet so I call it a win.
Also, a little WIP for a piece I’ve been working on since that Sharon Apple pic. Getting kind of ambitious lately. Decided to do a piece from the other side of a mirror. A good many changes from the reference photo, mostly in the background. But it’ll get there.
Merry Christmas to me! Ordered months ago with holiday money, arrived today after the book hit its launch date. Heck yeah.
I think we can all agree that David Lynch would find the meta of Pokopia to be beautiful and dark. That being said, in case anyone wonders where I stand on Trans Rights, well…
