At the end of the excellent ‘Connected Worlds’ exhibit at Bruges’ Brusk, there was an opportunity to make profound comments on a wall of tiles. There were too many instances of ‘carpe diem’ and ‘we’re all one family’ for my liking. Kicking it old school.

The opening lyrics to Bobby Brown’s ‘On Our Own’ off of the Ghostbusters 2 soundtrack counterbalances inane Eurobullshit positivity on a wall of tiles in a Bruges exhibition.

‘Tanking’ is a meaningless term in UK sports, much the same as ‘relegation’ is in US sports. So to read about the strategy and the process is intriguing.

Sunday night jaunt to Nottingham Rock City for my first ever gig experience there. Another dose of Sugar….and the inevitable tinnitus.

One of the loudest gigs I’ve been to. Sugar were incredible. If everyone loved what they did as much as Bob Mould loves performing, the world would be a better place.
