Abolish the draft, every rookie a free agent. It eases tanking, and makes organizational structure the key factor. Keep the ping pong balls (people love lotteries) to determine which teams can pay the most. If rookies want to join losers offering more, fine, or winners offering less, also fine.

Questions for Lawyers. a) Does refusal to play require 100 percent of a team? b) Is leaving "the ground" the same as leaving "the pitch?" c) If the referee did not blow his whistle to end the game, was that authorisation to leave? If any of those go Senegal's way, I think they win an appeal.
