Looking ahead to 2026, we know this is a topic we must continue to cover heavily. You’ve told us that by making our immigration work among our most-read stories this year. We hope that as we continue to grow — with your support — we will be able to tell even more of these needed stories.

We hosted a community conversation where people doing grassroots community work could share their experiences, and where we all had the chance to think through gaps in support and ways they could be filled.

Daylight has been right there with you, witnessing, documenting and offering those affected a chance to speak.

San Diegans have pushed back, standing with people at their court hearings and check-ins, visiting detention centers, patrolling neighborhoods to notify residents about Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity and raising mutual aid funds to help families whose breadwinners are detained.
