Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Robert. Your voice, spirit, and advocacy will never be forgotten.
We are grateful for Robert’s friendship, leadership, and the example he set for all of us. His legacy will continue to inspire our work and the broader disability rights movement for years to come.
As a committed leader of Project ACTION! and a passionate advocate in the disability community, Robert’s impact extended far beyond the organizations he served. He touched countless lives through his humor, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to self-advocacy and person-centered support.
Quality Trust is deeply saddened by the passing of Robert Kennedy, Jr., a dedicated self-advocate, community leader, and longtime friend of our organization. Robert devoted his life to advancing inclusion, equality, and respect for people with disabilities.
Please join us in congratulating Christine on this well-deserved achievement. We look forward to her continued leadership and the positive impact she will make in her new role!
Since joining Quality Trust in 2003 as a Lead Advocate, Christine has played a vital role in strengthening our programs and services. In November 2004, she was promoted to Monitoring Coordinator, a position later retitled Program Services Coordinator.
Excited to announce that Christine Foster has accepted the position of Deputy Director of Programs. Christine brings 35+ years of experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in DC and has dedicated 23 years to advancing Quality Trust’s mission, core values & goals.
This month, we honor the disability community, celebrate disability as an essential part of human diversity, and reaffirm our commitment to a future where everyone can thrive. Happy Disability Pride Month! 💙❤️💛🤍💚
At Quality Trust, we remain committed to advancing the rights of people with disabilities through advocacy, education, monitoring, and systems change.
Disability is a natural part of the human experience, and every person deserves to live with dignity, autonomy, and the opportunity to fully participate in their community!
July is Disability Pride Month, a time to celebrate the strength, diversity, leadership, and contributions of people with disabilities while recognizing the ongoing work to build a more accessible and inclusive world.
Marriage equality is under attack again in many states and cases trying to limit every person’s ability to define who they are for themselves are being moved through the court systems. As we speak out and organize, we need to ensure that we do not leave people with disabilities behind!
If someone with a disability uses government benefits or support programs to help manage their health and afford their basic needs wants to get married, they face the threat of a dramatic cut to the assistance they receive.
People with disabilities still do not have the same ability to marry without penalty, whether they are in same-sex relationships or not. The “marriage penalty” forces many people with disabilities to choose between love and the essential support they need to survive.
