Progress

I have satin stitched in 4 of the seven petals, in shades of red, purple, and gold. I have managed a few decent French knots in the middle of the flower, most in red, two in gold. A couple of the red French knots are unruly, as I did them first.

OK not to be all "interior design is my passion" but I've lived in this house of mine for nearly 20 years and it's taken forever but I finally found a rug I wanted in my living room and it was delivered today and I'm SO HAPPY.

My living room with the new rug in it. We have a red couch and chair, as well as a wingback chair in the corner covered with a blue printed cotton cloth. There is a Lane coffee table, and a fireplace with a brick surround and a wooden mantel. A blue Ecuadorian tapestry hangs over the fireplace. The NEW RUG is a field of blue with circular designs in brown, red, pale blue, and cream. It goes well with the curtains which are a field of yellow beige with circular designs in red, brown, and pale blue. I bought the curtains about 15 years ago.

The roof has grown over the back deck again.

The view as I loom directly up while sitting on my back deck. The leaves of the deciduous trees (poplar, alder, and beech) have come back for Spring and will shade the back of my house through Summer.
