A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night (2014) There's some great scenes sprinkled all around, the soundtrack was killer and the cinematography made the girl look like she was a shadowy figure, almost levitating, like Death lingering around, very beautiful but also quite slow at times, almost dragged on.
Humanist Vampire Seeks Consenting Suicidal Person (2023) Very interesting, unique and original in its presentation and how it subliminally shows thematic of late blooming in an adolescent and the feeling of not conforming to what your family wants, even if you need to if you want to survive.

Project Hail Mary (2026) Really good stuff, it's nothing extraordinary or anything, cause it's pretty much The Martian, Arrival and Interstellar, but it was funny, curious and engaging from start to finish, Ryan Gosling makes for a believable fish out of water. Fantastic VFX, some awesome sequences
The Cell (2000) Suffers from that period of time between the 90s and early 2000s when we had a bunch of psychological thrillers about catching serial killers. The Cell is pretty much OK, saved by some amazing and breathtaking production designs as well as cinematography, makeup and costumes.
Gilda (1946) A movie that doesn't have a strong story or compelling characters, in fact you could watch Casablanca with similar themes, but Rita Hayworth makes up entirely for it, her presence on screen radiates diva energy and the luminous cinematography only serves to accentuate her beauty.
High Society (1956) I love how Grace Kelly's little sister basically disappears from the film once everyone shows up. Anyway, a perfectly fine musical, some great songs and good chemistry between the actors, nothing too exceptional about it, but I wish one day to watch The Philadelphia Story.
I ♡ Huckabees (2004) God, this was PAINFUL. I can recognize the way it tries to emphasize and empathize the absurdity and nihilistic way of living, but I was checked out 20 minutes into the film and only kept on watching to try and find some sense into this incredibly preposterous mess of a movie.
Orlando (1992) On paper this could've been a movie I could've fallen in love with, but its shortness and the limited exploration of the relationship between Orlando and their body/gender prevent it to be more than what I felt about. Regardless, Tilda Swinton absolutely shines in this.
The Happiness of the Katakuris (2001) I want whatever Miike was smoking while he was making this. So much inventive, originality and craziness that it's often a double edged sword. Too crazy at times even on its own, but I greatly enjoyed it and confirms the madness that is Miike's genius.
Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) I love how it mixes rom-com, screwball and crime in this delightful movie, I love Cary Grant's infinite range of expressions, I love all the running gags, too bad we've passed the opportunity of having the real Boris Karloff playing a "parody" of himself.

The Return of the Living Dead (1985) Honestly funnier than I was expecting. Liked the first half more than the second, as it got repetitive after a while, but the special effects are still great to look at, I loved the assortment of characters in it, between the punk gang and the nazi mortician.
A Field in England (2013) Visually and musically very interesting and a cool story to follow through, but I think that's about it for me. There's virtually nothing else that made me think or reflect wether this was worth the time and watch. I'm still curious to watch other Ben Wheatley movies.
The Poppy is Also a Flower (1966) Couldn't find any decent images to attach, so here's the poster where it misleads you into thinking Grace Kelly was a part of this. Anyway, very mediocre and forgettable spy film that was made to promote the UN's work in the anti-drug war. Quickly forgotten.
Trafic (1971) Starts off pretty strongly and there's various memorable scenes to account for, but midway through it kinda slows down and takes its sweet time to get to the final destination. More coordinated shots and Tati fumbling around, less hijinks with the girl character.
One Battle After Another (2025) On a second viewing, I guess this is fine. Didn't feel connected with pretty much anyone, the story felt too much "white guy fetishizes black power to start a revolution" and Taylor's character felt more like a piece of meat than anything else. Technically great, tho
War of the Worlds (2025) Absolute cinema, what a fantastic piece of garbage film fueled by Amazon's propaganda and how it saves the world thanks to one of their drones. Hilarious, baffling, incredibly bad, would watch it again in a heartbeat for funzies. I want 10 more of these.
Just found out this curious fast food place behind a McDonald's. Does the same kind of menu with fries and soda but it adds ramen, gyoza and bao as their main selling items. If I didn't stuff my belly with chicken nuggets I would've DEFINITELY tried it.
The Great Mouse Detective (1986) Paving the way before the Disney Renaissance, this mystery noir has its strength in some memorable sequences, such as the Big Ben finale, the Henry Mancini music but above all the character of Ratigan, an undoubtedly gay evil rat played perfectly by Vincent Price.
Theatre or Blood (1973) Basically this is "Abominable Dr. Phibes" with the same core, but it's treated with a darker, yet still funny and entertaining subject. Once again Vincent Price is very enjoyable in his chamaleontic presence and in his inventive and equally bloody deaths.
