Everyone else has moved on but I'm still here:
Watching Perfect Crown with my daughter and I love the way every Kdrama leading man is like this:
Bookstore haul! Nerd interests appeased!
I'm not even apologizing and more. New books, can't stop won't stop.
Time to read up on the Leaflets of the White Rose, and be prepared to take action:
I legit loved this modern adaptation of the Biblical story of Saul and David. Irritated AF that it was canceled right as David was exiled.
A lot of things are hard right now, but there is no joy like taking my daughter to Pride for the first time. I wish you could see her enormous smile! 🏳️🌈
While the 1994 and 2019 versions of Little Women are excellent, I actually enjoy the 2017 Masterpiece Theater version best. The pace of it really works for me, and Emily Watson as Marmee absolutely crushes it. Plus there's Angela Lansbury as Aunt March, and Maya Hawke holds her own as Jo.
Kicking off Pride Month with some sapphic sci-fi:
Somebody is exactly where he wants to be (with Dada):
My daughter made Bill from Gravity Falls out of torn napkins:
Planted some mint in a tiny hedgehog just to feel something.
I might have a fuckin stroke at a man suddenly going "Hey... Have you noticed the women are missing from this Star War???" YES GENIUS THAT'S WHAT WE'VE BEEN SAYING OMFG
I wanna get up but this dude is just totally zonked out and I can't move him.
Can't be certain but I THINK this might be a reference to Invocation by Lord Frederick Leighton:
This post is about Reylos on BlueSky and oh honey, you don't know the lore... 🦋
I just found out Tayari Jones is on here and I'm a little starstruck. Leaving Atlanta is one of the best books I've read in the last 20 years. Gorgeous writing, both deeply unsettling and achingly sweet. Do yourself a favor and read it.
