Watched about 10 min of JURASSIC PARK (as one does when showcasing 3D) and reminded what a gloriously expressive actor Sam Neil is in that film. He made loads of other, fine works, naturally, but he made us believe in the unbelievable throughout, and for that he will be forever remembered.
On behalf of big haired Jewish potificators with a penchant for puns, he snarked and celebrated so we film nerds who followed could kvetch convincingly. May his memory be a blessing.
You may not know they sometimes merged those two things. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Governm...

"I think Wes Anderson could make an interesting Western" - Jim Jarmusch, 2017 ( on @criterion.bsky.social Q&A commentary track for DEAD MAN)

Listening to @cmolanphy.bsky.social's take on legacy songs and reminded I bought Down And Out in Beverly Hills soundtrack explicitly for song I heard on the end credits, only to learn after purchase it was left off the record. At the time the exclusion of the Talking Heads track stopped making sense
I'm officially the guys that goes to hallowed musical spaces and tries and evangelize to bemused strangers that their life will be made better by listening to @andrewhickey.500songs.com
One of these is a manufactured band meant to sate a youthful audience unaware of their being manipulated for consumerist reasons and the other is a masterpiece by The Monkees.
Breaking badly Spotify's new AI playlist creator. Having this kind of search with low stakes (hallucinate away on song selection) does seem a less evil application for the tech, but it's amusing it still doesn't actually work (yet).
Stumbled across this... We have some mighty screens (including my beloved yet shuttered Cinesphere) yet lag behind other wonderous locations
