Last photo before the sky darkened completely. The early con trail appears to have been twisted into a loop. The first-stage contrail is a pink smudge below Venus.

As the launch proceeds, the con trail from the second stage continues to expand and becomes even more diffuse. It took up an enormous portion of the sky. Note that the early portions of the con trail are becoming diffuse and twisted due to the stratospheric wind.
Last night, a Space-X Falcon rocket was launched from Vandenberg AFB, to put more Starlink satellites in orbit, and the whole thing was visible from our deck. here are photos I took of the launch (with my crappy old i-phone 6). First, the launch. The gap was caused by the 1st stage falling away.
