back on my OOT bullshit and another thing I like about top-shelf nintendo games is their environments are playgrounds first and "levels" second. It is probably better to understand any area in the game as one of these first before you consider it world building-wise, narratively, etc
A lot of people have gotten mad about this anonymous post, but this is already how it works. In the publishing world people write to specific audiences/grade levels all the time, it is a basic expectation of copywriting and editing work, there are multiple tools to assess this (eg Flesch-Kincaid)
Good book, I think a lot of people already kinda know about MLMs and probably already hold the position "they should be illegal," but this gives a lot of shape and detail to their operation and after reading it I have upgraded my position to "they should be extremely illegal"
Such a huge and important issue and can seem nuts sometimes how invisible it feels. The ending here is also crucial, we shouldn't fall into "the kids are all right"-style complacency. They are not all right! They are losing the ability to read!
