Two plays in two days on 4ZZZ @zeddigital-4zzz.bsky.social , Brisbane’s independent radio bastion of indie music for 50 years, for “Through My Hands”. #4ZZZ #communityradio
Praise be to Around the Dial with Alan Hall on @nwrbroadcast.bsky.social for heralding the second coming of “This Life” on last Sunday’s show!
Eight plays in eight days! Underground is the place to be! My new EP “Through My Hands / This Life (And Other Lives) has only been out for eight days but Sounds From The Underground RBM89.1FM has matched the days with plays!
Airplay fell back down to earth last week after the national boost from Aussie Music Weekly but still a solid 10. The top 10 girdled the globe from Jaen to Katoomba, from Orange and Woolgoolga to Yantazaza! Stations in comments…
The threes thing continues… On top of the lyrics in both songs and This Life’s 3Lives—First Life, Second Coming, Third Day mixes—on my new “Through My Hands / This Life (And Other Lives)” EP… Yesterday, 333 plays for the EP release reel… Today, my total airplay for the year hit 333. And new…
It just struck me that everything about this EP release comes in threes… “Through My Hands”: “Three words/Three chords/Three hours to go… Three days/Three nights/Three candles down…” Links in comments…
My new single “Through My Hands” which drops tomorrow 06.07.26 has big birthday boots to fill! Following up my most played single “Every Day It’s Your Birthday”, I’ve kept the jangle coming and made it a Double Header Extended Play. More info in comments…
Without community radio I would have no radio! Sounds From The Underground RBM89.1FM on Radio Blue Mountains 89.1 is in my top #5 of radio stations worldwide. It’s stations and shows like these that keep indie music alive. Airplay in comments…
The milestones keep coming… Last week marked another for my most played single “Every Day It’s Your Birthday” notching up its 200th play in a calendar year. This puts my best year for airplay—with more than 330 plays in the first six months—on track to double last year’s tally! New single 06.07.26
HAPPY 200TH BIRTH-PLAY! Listen to “Every Day It’s Your Birthday”—now my most played song by year and by lifetime. And, as of today, the first to reach 200 radio spins! Links in comments…
A small trough in the radio waves on planet Earth last week, with two “Stone On Stone” songs aired in Australia and in the USA. But there’s a crest coming up next week. More in comments…
Celebrating “Every Day It's Your Birthday” making the cut this week in the nationally-aired new release show Aussie Music Weekly on too-many-to-mention community radio stations. Three cheers to Noddy and the crew for a great show, including a focus on the career of Gyan.
While I’m getting the new single ready to release, I was happy to see three “Stone On Stone” songs played last week on earth in Australia and in the USA. Details in comments…
A quiet week on the ’waves with two “Stone On Stone” songs played on earth in Australia and in the USA. But any week a song is on the radio is a good week. Details in comments…
Three “Stone On Stone” songs were played on earth last week in Australia and in countries that aren't Australia. Links in comments…
I had a week off—went to see Beck @ The Palais, sat in the park, fixed the switch on my tall yellow Planet Studio K lamp, got my sore neck from leaning into the laptop screens untangled at the physio—and still I was on the radio! Links in the comments…
I went to bed feeling a bit paranoid* but it turned out that people were ‘out to get me’ and I was the subject of their persistent, intrusive attention. I woke up to people talking about me and ‘getting’ my music on the overnight popup stream by Mitch on @nwrbroadcast.bsky.social from the USA.
Three “Stone On Stone” songs rode the ‘waves last week, with 15 spins at home and abroad, six on international stations. “Every Day It’s Your Birthday” was on the air on Radio Free Americana in Charlottesville PA, Siempre Radio FM Jaén Spain, Radio Adelaide and 2XX Canberra.
VINTAGE BAND AIRPLAY Music without my given name @gregwilliamsongs.bsky.social on the tin had a good week on the air too. Links in the comments…
Four “Stone On Stone” songs were on the ‘waves last week, with 15 spins at home and abroad, with a bonus Shazam in Kiev! Nearly half were on international stations. “Every Day It’s Your Birthday” added six plays, continuing the momentum that has made it my most played song this year.
I love it when one of mine gets played on the radio with any one of my all-time faves. And it did again this week thanks to Steve Perry from Sounds From The Underground on Radio Blue Mountains 89.1 when my most played radio song “The Things That Make Me Happy” got to rub shoulders with two of them.
TALES FROM TOPOGRAPHIC NOTIONS? Seriously, they had me at “concept album” but the metaphysical icing on the conceptual cake was spotlighting my single “Every Day It’s Your Birthday” in the latest episode (327) of the @onlythreelads.bsky.social - Classic Alternative Music Podcast (USA).
Thanks Michael O'Brien of Great Southern Land on COAST FM 963 for kicking off the show this week with “This Life”! Airing on Tuesdays from 8-10pm, the show has played every single single I’ve released from “Stone On Stone”… Streaming link in the comments…
I’m loving the even longer long streak! Ninth week in a row on the show. The long run of my debut solo single “This Life” continued last week on Anita Monk's Wrokdown on 94.7 The Pulse in Geelong and Ferndale Community Radio in Plymouth, UK. Link in the comments…
“Every Day It’s Your Birthday” has clocked up more than 100 radio spins, making it my most played song this year (or any year). And it’s still going strong… on its way to overtake “The Things That Make Me Happy” for total spins despite only being released as a single early this year.
I’m loving the even longer streak! Eighth week in a row on the show. The long run of my debut solo single “This Life” continued last week on Anita Monk's Wrokdown on 94.7 The Pulse in Geelong and Ferndale Community Radio in Plymouth, UK. Playback: www.mixcloud.com/ferndale-ctg...
I’m loving the long streak! Seventh week in a row on the show. The second life of my debut solo single “This Life” extends on Anita Monk's Wrokdown on 94.7 The Pulse in Geelong and Ferndale Community Radio in Plymouth, UK.
