My copy of The Silver Metal Lover, which I must have bought at a used bookstore, though I can't remember where. Probably northern California (maybe the now defunct Logos in Santa Cruz?), where I used to go a few times a year for bookstore excursions.
I detest this humid heat, but today I saw a monarch butterfly near Gelson's, plus, on my street, this beauty (a black butterfly I've never seen before).

Today I visited this lovely little bookshop in Studio City for the first time. It's been there (down the street from the Bookstar on Ventura Blvd) for over three years, and I had no clue.
