There's a boat ramp right under the GW that gives better access to Fort Lee. I wonder if there were more ramps on the Manhattan side in the '60s? Dyckman seems like a hike from the Polo Grounds.

The one good thing about all this is the Streisand effect. When I was in Philly a few weeks ago, way more people were reading the hand drawn protest signs at the President's House site than ever engaged with the now-removed official signage.

I don't often swim more than 50 laps in a day, occasionally all together, mostly broken up into smaller sets. But I got to the pool a little early this morning and felt good, so I jumped in and swam 60 laps at a decent (for me) pace!
