Ahh! My boy Tristan was a wash-out too. He ran 1 race, but never finished. He was 2 yrs old when he came to us. His track name was Flight Action! Talk about a misnomer. 😂 He was a very good boy.

I don’t think her life before being fostered was all that happy. This is what she looked like when she came to the rescue. I do as much as I can to make the 2nd half of her life the best it can be.

I think so too. Though I’m going to have to do some serious vacuuming before I get one. We had Apollo here for 2 days & between the 2 of them, they laid a wall-to-wall dog hair carpet. 😂😂

That too! 😂😂 Garnet went to the groomers today. Her white fur is once again white & much of her undercoat was left on the grooming floor. She’s so pretty. 😍🩷

We have white tailed deer in our area. Lots of them. They like our lilies, very much. They wait till the buds are just about to open, then they bite them off the stem & eat them. Once the flower opens, it’s safe from the deer.

Garnet, an agouti & white husky, enjoys a bird now & then too. As a life long bird watcher, I’m a bit disturbed by this, but she’s an assassin. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mammatus clouds after the thunder storm today.

We had a big wind storm here yesterday. Lots of trees down, streets closed, folks without power. In our back yard, the trellis that for decades has supported our trumpet vine snapped off at its base & fell over into the pond, by the waterfall. The dogs were uncomfortable with the high winds.

It’s a beautiful night. Garnet & I just returned from our evening walk. The sky is just incredible, still a dark blue with white clouds & so many stars. If you zoom in, you’ll see them.

Sure don’t. Plus, I live in an older suburb. I can lean out my window & shake hands with my neighbors. No one should be hunting in my neighborhood. Besides Garnet, that is.
