When your singer songwriter friend knows you well enough to gift you a comprehensive book of ballads full of murder, magic, and mayhem. Thank you @mpintomadigan.bsky.social !!
one more thing i liked about vancouver — they disguise their electrical boxes as trees and shrubs
neat mode on surf.social — the “look” tab lets you scroll through full screen photos. and this is an an atproto feed! really shows the power of the open web.
A chronological feed is a simple algorithm that you are free to use, but the point of Bluesky has always been to enable algorithmic choice. From my 2023 blog post: bsky.social/about/blog/3...
Ok this is better. Have some ballads in there now. The sources show me what it's drawing from, and I can see what selection criteria it used in the control panel.
Pretty good for a first pass. Summary on the right shows me what I got in my new feed. But it's a bit too moss-heavy...
Attie has one initial function: build personalized custom feeds. I love the moss feed, but maybe I'm in the mood for more variety. Show me "pictures of moss, posts about medieval ballads, deep lore about trees, herbs, and plants."
You can give us feedback about Attie directly in the app by clicking on the megaphone icon to the right side of the feed creator.
