Movie is bad and he’s barely in it, but damnit, he’s still hot as hell when he shows up.
Went to see Hadestown in theaters and of course I singled out ensemble player Christopher Short right away and looked up his pictures
Really sad to hear about the passing of Chuck Russell. The Mask and Dream Warriors are so much fun. But The Blob is absolutely incredible. Took very silly material and made it genuinely frightening. RIP to a great one.
Sharing a selfie not because I think I look good right now (I always hate seeing my own image) but more so to remind myself that it’s important to push through those feelings of inadequacies and always lift yourself up. Some days are easier than others, but that makes overcoming it all the greater.
This scene in Oppenheimer was more tense and thrilling for me, personally, than any action sequence in The Odyssey.
First time I remember seeing Calam Lynch was in Benediction back in 2022. Loved him in that movie. Glad to see that early admiration is paying off.
THE ODYSSEY works best when diving into thematic discussions of the hero’s journey, making for intriguing narrative commentary. Nolan’s spectacle is also clunky in execution, struggling to create a consistent momentum in the episodic structure. A mixed bag of what to admire.
Really sad to hear about the passing of Sam Neill. Apart from being a great actor, he seemed like a decent and nice man. He’s in so many wonderful films, but Event Horizon will always be a personal favorite. RIP to a real one.
When you rewatch the Nolan Batman films and have the urge to visit Wayne Enterprises.
EVIL DEAD BURN is yet another entry that thrives on a gleefully ghoulish display of carnage that’s a joy for any sicko to watch. Thin characters return, but a greater emphasis on backstory drags the narrative. Still has plenty of stylish and bloody set pieces to devour.
