Senior U.S. Senator from MN | Snow enthusiast ❄️
There’s no U.S. Olympic Curling Team without Minnesota! Great to join Coach Phill, our Mixed Doubles Silver Medalists — MN’s own Korey Dropkin & Cory Thiesse — and their teammates. Can’t wait for the next big win! 🥌 🇺🇸
Good news for Minnesota’s farmers, brewers, small businesses, and customers! The Senate passed my bipartisan provision to delay the hemp ban, giving Congress more time to find a long-term solution and not ban hemp in MN. www.valleynewslive.com/2026/08/08/s...
Our democracy depends on free & fair elections. The President’s Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche should be able to definitively say that he would not deploy armed federal agents to polling places, but he didn't. I oppose his nomination.
Great to meet with St. Cloud State students and President Dr. Gregory Tomso in Washington. Go Huskies!
The numbers speak for themselves – the President’s war with Iran has driven up diesel costs 63% for our farmers.
Big news for veterans health in Minnesota! A new women’s clinic at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center is opening for the 10,000 women veterans they serve. This new health center honors their service by helping make sure they can receive the care they need.
Met with young leaders representing Minnesota at American Legion Boys and Girls Nation — Carter Klein from Bloomington, Izu Ayika from Maple Grove, Greta Gronfeld from Johnson, and Mariam Al-Areedy from Sartell. Great to see high school students interested in public service – their future is bright!
Congressman John Lewis’ legacy reminds us that the pursuit of justice requires persistence. This week we remember him and mark six years since his passing. The torch he passed is in our hands and the work to protect Americans' freedoms continues, especially the right to vote.
BREAKING: I pressed the President’s Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche to commit to keeping federal agents out of polling places. Federal law is clear: the President does NOT have the authority to deploy armed federal officials to election sites.
What is the U.S. Postal Service’s new plan that would slow down mail delivery? Let’s find out.
If there's a birthday, you've got to have some cake! 🎂🇺🇸 The 250th birthday cake was unveiled with the Smithsonian & the Library of Congress. And Minnesota made its mark: I added our state bird the loon & a pair of hockey sticks with cake artist Grace Pak.
Remembering my dad, a veteran himself, on our nation’s 250th today! To all our veterans, service members, and military families – thank you. 🇺🇲
Nothing like northwestern and northern Minnesota in the summer 🇺🇸 … with our friends in Canada 🇨🇦 right across the river!
Stop 8 of my Northwest & Northern Minnesota tour: Koochiching County! Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls, with a staff of over 200, plays a critical role in ensuring this region has access to 24/7 emergency care, primary care, and clinic services.
Stop 7 of my rural tour: Lake of the Woods County! At New Moon Coffeehouse in Baudette, I joined local leaders & volunteers ahead of their Walleye Fish Fry and July 4th celebrations — with so many visitors coming in to mark our nation’s 250th birthday & enjoy the outdoors! 🏕️🎇
Stop 6 on my rural tour: Roseau County! Met with the Mayor and leaders of Lil’ Chompers Childcare in Greenbush to discuss their new facility, which is being built with federal funding I helped secure. The new facility will provide 40 kids with care — including needed infant care.
Stop 5 of my rural tour: Kittson County! Enjoyed great coffee with local small business owners, entrepreneurs, & leaders at Bully Brew Coffee in Hallock. To help our businesses thrive, we need to lower costs and make it easier to grow and create jobs.
Stop 4 of my rural tour: Warren! I met with local leaders about how Warren stepped up to address child care needs with the Little Sprouts Learning Center. When parents can’t find care, they can’t go to work, & local economies suffer. We must support local solutions like this.
Great way to kick off our country’s 250th birthday: a visit to one of Minnesota's many innovators – Arctic Cat — here in Pennington County!
Stop 3 of my rural tour: Thief River Falls — home to Arctic Cat, where snowmobiles and ATVs are manufactured right here in northwest Minnesota. Last year they returned to independent ownership, they’re thriving, and they’re one of this region’s largest employers.
Now THIS is a Minnesota view! 🌳🌊 From kayaking on the scenic Red Lake River to their campground, Voyageur's View Camping, Tubing, & Kayaking is a beautiful spot here in Red Lake Falls. Places like this help showcase all that Northwest MN has to offer.
Stop 2 on my Northwest & Northern Minnesota tour: Red Lake Falls! I’m at Voyageur’s View Camping, Tubing, & Kayaking with second-generation owners and siblings, Stephanie & Jason. 🏕️ Voyageur’s View has been helping capture Minnesotans’ adventurous spirit since 1985.
I’m kicking off a Northwest & Northern Minnesota rural tour. First stop: Halstad — where I met with Red River Valley Electric Co-Op & local leaders at a new HQ. They're working on moving overhead powerlines underground & improving reliability with the help of federal funding.
I'm thinking of Connie Clery, who passed this week at 95. After losing her daughter Jeanne to campus violence in 1986, Connie turned grief into action, and her advocacy led to the Jeanne Clery Act which changed how colleges approach campus safety.
The bipartisan ROAD to Housing Act will help build more homes, cut red tape, lower housing costs, and expand homeownership. It's passed both the House and Senate and the President has the bill to sign. He should sign it now. No delays.
Congratulations to Minnesota Teacher of the Year David Davis! A music teacher at Park Spanish Immersion Elementary in St. Louis Park, David is an innovator in student-centered curriculum who encourages students to take an active role in their learning.
Nothing is more Minnesota than hockey (besides maybe tater tot hotdish). So I’m helping add hockey sticks and our state bird — the loon — to the Smithsonian 250th birthday cake with cake artist Grace Pak.
Because of the Dobbs decision overturning women’s right to reproductive health, too many women now have stories similar to Amanda's. This cannot stand.
Four years ago, Roe v. Wade was overturned — stripping away women's reproductive rights across the country, creating a patchwork of different laws, & unleashing chaos. We must codify into law women's fundamental right to make decision about their own bodies.
Does the President have the legal authority to end vote-by-mail? Let’s find out.
