I'm on leave and today is my "do not leave the house unless it or I am on fire" day. So homemade scones and a good book or two it is.

On a wooden tray there's a blue side plate in the foreground with two obviously homemade scones. Behind the plate is a bowl of whipped cream, one of strawberry jam and then in the background (left to right) is a floral mug, a little white milk jug and a stainless steel french press.

I know I complained about the cost of things in op-shops. But I did get a few special items. I picked up a basket weave peacock PYREX mixing bowl today for $6 and a tulip candle insert for $1. I still need to find a brass candle stick but for now it's working in a vase.

I went to my first estate sale today and as weird as it felt digging through someone's life, I bought some 1970s tupperware and a set of Fire King peach lustre bowls. They're so pretty.

Part my therapy homework is to write my dating/peopling CV. What do I bring to the table etc. I was talking to my friend about it over dinner and shared my list. She added a few things but this might be the weirdest great thing someone has ever said about me.
