I'm having a surreal writer moment today. The indie bookstore that I grew up browsing and buying from is now carrying Under the Influencer. I can't get over the fact that MY book is on the shelf at Anderson's Bookshop in Naperville. I may cry.🥹

I have seen this all over my socials this morning -- is this a real RWA flyer, or one made by a "well-meaning" non-official person? Because if this is official...that's certainly a choice to create AI slop flyers.

Chicago Navy Pier fireworks were a huge disappointment - too foggy to see anything. But the amazing people of Chicago who were illegally parked on LSD saved the day with their own fireworks. Solid metaphor - when govt fails, the people save the day.

It's my book birthday today! 😍 My first published book at age 53. That feels both old and still so young. Anyone who feels like they might be starting too late, ignore those negative voices (especially those inside your own head). I can't explain the rush it feels to see my book in the world. ☺️
