Love the history and heritage of the FA Cup so went to watch Bottesford Town v Aylestone Park in the extra preliminary round this afternoon. Finished 6-3 which worked out at 78p per goal! The Poachers have just got to win 12 more games to get to the final at Wembley …
The Geordies are getting a new badge. The absolute mess of words to accompany the process makes my teeth itch. I know this sort of copy is fairly typical in the corporate world but talking of a *badge* struggling to “perform in a modern setting” is just absolute and utter horse shit.
I’ve been to four pre-season friendlies so far this summer, with Tad Albion in the diary for Tuesday and a couple more lined up. A lot to be said for anxiety-free football in the sunshine with a beer.
This is absolutely bonkers. That time equates to running at just shy of 16 mph. Elite athletes are nuts.
The new AFC Wimbledon home shirt, and both home and away tops for Grimsby this season are absolutely sensational. Both by Lotto. Love them.
Went to watch the Pickering Town vs Scarborough friendly tonight in the sunshine. Cracking evening. The visitors won 3-1 and the lad on the right wing for The Seadogs (Luke Hall?) looked quality.
I did a trail run event yesterday. I wasn't sure which way to go here. Very confusing.
I used it loads last week up in the highlands. Saw lots of white tailed eagles although they didn’t make a peep … !
Took in my first game of the 26/27 season today; Gala Fairydean Rovers v Kelty Hearts on the way back from the highlands. A beautiful afternoon and a 2-1 victory for the home side in front of a brilliant, brutalist main stand.
Today has been a great start to proceedings. No golden eagles but several white tailed ones and so much wildlife you don’t know where to look.
Great news everyone. According to Matt Le Tissier, critical is just about listening to what your gut is telling you. Who knew it was so easy.
Matt Le Tissier is doing a watch along of a Saints match in a pub tonight. Imagine when someone tells him the news.
So @futbologyapp.bsky.social has just told me tonight is my 200th time watching #lufc at Elland Road. Get into ‘em, Leeds.
