It’s been a fascinating time to embrace my own ability as a writer as so many are slobbering to steal it. I’m just glad I’m not scared anymore. Because I know I can always come up with the next thing just as good as the last, if not better.

Excerpt from independent novel, The House on Polly Lane:

At some point, well past midnight, Gina had a demand. It was the kind that only comes in a haze of liquor and lust. She needed a hot tub. Shawn and Andria explained that the apartments had several spread across the complex, but they'd all be locked up by this time.
She couldn't be deterred. With a mischievous smile, she ran out their door and down the stairs.
It was like chasing a child who'd broken away from her parents.
She scampered along the sidewalks, her bare feet lightly smacking against the cooling concrete. Shawn and Andria stumbled, chasing her as she giggled in revelry. Mischief was her natural state tonight, and Shawn desperately wanted to join her. He'd sputtered out half-remembered directions toward the complex's hot tub, long-closed for the night. Much to his surprise, she was making her way flawlessly, even correctly turning where he'd realized he had told her the wrong way. She knew what she wanted, and it was as if she could sense its location in relation to her.

I guess I should start talking about this stuff, huh? I’m writing, again. Writing a lot, actually. Finished the first draft of a novella last night. I’m a good chunk of the way into a second novella, and also a sequel to my last novel. Which is also about to come out in a second edition!

Really really enjoying this so far, and it’s chilling how close the villains in this are to what we face now. They even have ships that don’t understand how heat works in space, so they have thousands of ships that basically can each only be used once.

If you’ve ever thought B-52s was too weird for you, so did I. Everyone should give Cosmic Thing a try. It’s such an uplifting record filled with a sober, world weary kind of joy. I’d argue the album overall is about the power of sharing radical joy. #vinyl #vinylmorning #classic

They called it a story set 100 years before BOTW. And they didn’t correct anyone until after the game launched. Also, Halo Reach is about literally everyone you play as and work with dying, and it’s considered one of the best of its era. Just be excited about your game and leave me alone.
