Since Sam Neill died, I would urge any and all to check out my favorite film of his, The Dish. It's a wonderful movie based on the true story of broadcasting the moon landing. As a bonus, it also has my favorite Patrick Warburton performance...!!

been watching JUDO BOY / KURENAI SANSHIRO on the ol @hidive.com. Sanshiro's a damn near unbeatable judo-ka, but even he isn't immune to this one crazy trick:
This particular sequence has what looks like a solid rendition of ultraman rising. I like the colors and styling of rising, but not the cartoon proportions, so this looks more balanced. Might have to get THIS weird little guy, too.
The ultraman zero came on a card! I wasn’t expecting that, usually these tiny sofubi dudes come with hanger tags. I like how “sofubi” is spelled here 😄
Every once in a while I notice that Amazon has these weird little guys for less than five bucks each, and that’s when I stock up on weird little guys

actually, i seem to remember the release being kind of weird, in that U.S. Manga Corps' overally release of Utena had stalled on DVD. For quite a while, only the first 13 eps were available (in two "rose collections")... and then suddenly we got the movie, helpfully subtitled THE MOVIE
