I mean, to think that this was a side quest I made on this same trip…
The concert took it out of me this week, so I want to thank the MBTA for creating a new ferry route at the perfect time for me to go out and film a quick video about it!!! youtu.be/wopclgneosE
AND THAT’S TIME! I love that this was possible to one night, and it would be cool to be able to do it on future nights! But I don’t think I’m itching to try it again anytime soon…
WE MADE IT ON THE LAST BUS! Now we just have to…sit here for nine minutes! And we’ll have done it!
Oh my God, we had to walk BACK to the D because our C was making UP too much time! And the 86 we’re shooting for is running late… it all comes down to this.
Okay, the Green Line was Green Lining and we weren’t going to make our 86 connection at Reservoir. So we ran to a C train from Fenway in order to take advantage of the slower ride for the 20-minute rule to the NEXT 86…
By our calculations, this Green Line D Train - the first westbound of the day - SHOULD be our third-to-last ride!
And here we are on the 116 to Haymarket! It is fully bright now.
Okay, actually our plans continue to fluctuate! We’re back on the T riding the first 104 of the day, and we’re going to connect to the rare early-morning 116 bus to Haymarket! Might as well take advantage of these weird trips while we can.
Alright, now it’s “kill time on Massport shuttles until MBTA service starts up again” time! This is an 88 to Economy Parking.
Believe it or not, we’re now at the start of regular MBTA service! This super early morning 15 runs every day up to Nubian and then becomes the 171 to Logan Airport - we’ll be staying on for the entire trip! We can’t ride the T all night without including the legendary 171.
Other Nathan is joining us for a few stops! We had to drop back a train since we’re going to Ashmont.
And now we’re on a full 66! Cabot complete! Now we just have to kill time until Bennett Garage opens up again.
Taking a 28 over to Nubian for the 66! And we’re now officially in the Exclusive Super Duper Late Night Period!!
Very quick ride on a different Green Line train! I’m not sure if we’re making sound decisions anymore.
Can’t believe we’ve avoided it this long, but here we are on the Green Line! Getting pretty close to the end of regularly scheduled Saturday service.
We’re getting into the real witching hours now! This 111 will take us back to downtown Boston, where we’ll switch over to the Green Line.
Now heading up to Chelsea on the 116 - probably the busiest bus we’ll be on for the rest of the night! Our goal is to get an inbound 111 from Bellingham Square, both to get a Charlestown bus and to experience the Tobin Bridge upper deck!
Another private limo car on the 120! We’re going to take this Lynn bus back to Maverick.
Too stupid to explain, but we’re on the Blue Line from Orient Heights to Suffolk Downs to grab the 120 bus!
The clock just struck midnight and we’re out here in Winthrop waiting for the same bus to take us back to Orient Heights! We’re not even halfway done yet but spirits are high.
Okay, made it on one of the last 712’s of the night! This checks off “contracted bus” because of our previously missed 714, and is the last non-overnight thing to ride until we do Bennett Garage in the morning.
Took an SL3 to Airport and now we’re on a packed Blue Line train to Orient Heights! We heard some yelling on the platform - did someone win the World Cup yet?
