Here's concept art of a Gabora figure that DID get made and produced by Last Bastion, but the actual figure ended up much less complex than I was envisioning. Originally I had the idea that the 3 figures in wave 1 (Ultraman, Gabora, Gomora) would come with bases that could fit together.
I did some official Ultraman concept art for toys a while back and I was lobbying hard to get my favorite Ultra kaiju Sadora made but it sadly never happened. I guess Wave 1 didn't sell well enough. Here are some sketches.

The "Matrix Returns" text was added without my knowledge. This is NOT Matrix, it's Kara with a new costume, and Matrix does not appear in this issue. Yes the image is an homage to Grummett's famous Matrix drawing and it was intentional foreshadowing, but I'm sorry for the misleading way it was done.
Here is my new superhero: WOMBAT. She is bestowed with all the powers and abilities of a wombat including glowing in ultraviolet light.
