In Birmingham this week and had a quite temperate walk by the canal. Because trees and wildflowers and water and not just an area wrapped in concrete and asphalt. A/Cs are expensive to run and bad for the environment. Create more green space

Appalled to read this. Shame on the Sri Lankan govt for putting profit over environmental care. Very disappointed in Dr Amarasuriya for whom I have a lot of respect if this is what her government is doing.
Good grief. This is my local MP. Who I've emailed and lobbied about many of the terrible decisions of this govt only to be met with word salad after word salad "Mistakes on moral issues like Gaza" ... I don't even have the words for how bad this is.

Incredibly sad to hear that Fr Aloysius Piers, Indologist, Catholic and Buddhist scholar and Asian Liberation theologian par example has passed away. He was a revolutionary and an intellectual. Rest in power Fr Aloy. Eternal light.
