Catching wild Pokemon in Galar when you're 1 level higher than them vs. 1 level lower than them:
my first shiny in pokemon sword (random full odds) took me 10 minutes to catch and was how i learned how catch rates work in this game 🫠 (i only had great balls and my entire team was lower leveled than it)
This took less time than SV, but it was still more tedious. The main game was perfectly fine, but the DLC gets brutal. I got used to the donut mechanic eventually, but I was starting to lose my mind rerolling special scans lol On the bright side I have nearly 3 full boxes of shinies??
Nearly 13 years ago, I found my first shiny Pokemon, which was a Pancham in the Friend Safari that I evolved (unfortunately) and named Shinegoro. Today I found a random Shiny Pangoro in ZA! Cool full circle moment. Now I need to find a Pancham...

I completed my Pokemon S/V living dex (besides Walking Wake and Iron Leaves which are thankfully not required) and got the Home reward Shiny Meloetta!! I'd like to maybe get all the Home rewards someday... After the wild ride that was the B2W2 living dex, this one was nice lol
was looking for galarica twigs to complete the galarian slowpoke line and found a very appropriate shiny in the process
