Gouache study of Suilven. Last time I was there it was late Autumn and a kind soul had left 2 pieces of firewood in the bothy, othewise we would have been stuck trying to make a fire with wet gorse at 6pm. We had whisky though, which improved our situation considerably.
Here you can see the difference between the watercolour and the oil painting :) It's been over 10 years since I touched oil paints, this was a lovely experiment to ease my way back into them.

When my son was a baby we would go on a daily walk in the woods. Every morning, Lando (the neighbourhood cat who adopted us) would wait outside the house to join us. It became our little tradition. Those moments felt so special, I decided to turn them into a painting 💚
