Earlier this summer the Unic Taxicab from our Museum was displayed at the Royal Automobile Club Concours in the glorious sunshine at the Club's Woodcote Park. Appearing in the Extravagant Edwardians feature the 1908 Unic 12/14 Taxicab was entered by Lord Montagu📸Jean-Louis Evans

Today the World Land Speed Record breaker, Sunbeam 1000hp arrived in New York. Its arrival replicates events 99 years ago. On 12 March 1927, Henry Segrave and his party arrived in the Big Apple with the Sunbeam 1000hp on the Cunard liner Berengaria. More: bit.ly/4vU3CXe

The Sunbeam Tiger is visiting the Museum and will be on display until the 6th July. On the 16th March this year, the Tiger (originally named Ladybird) celebrated the centenary of the car setting a new World Land Speed Record of 152.33mph on Ainsdale Beach near #Southport.

Final tests and tweaks of the restored engines were made on the #Sunbeam1000hp World Land Speed Record car in the Museum workshop following most of the bodywork being replaced. A few last minute adjustments needed before the vehicle is packed up and heads by sea to the #USA and Pebble Beach!
