Some more work for the @avantris.bsky.social kickstarter promotional music video! These were some of the first shots I had been assigned in the project and some of the last ones to finish, there was a lot of back and forth to get these exactly where they needed to be!

Oh yeah, The Bad Guys 2 is out! A lot of my stuff is pretty spoiler-y so I'm gonna hold off on posting it for now but I am really proud of the work I did for this one! In the meantime here are a couple of shots that didn't directly make it into the movie~ #storyboards #badguysmovie #badguys2

It's tricky to see, but if you play the video at half speed it becomes a lot more obvious what clarity I was shooting for and how little (imo) it affects the flow of the action in black and white. Looking back I'm actually pretty certain that color made it far too noticeable to get away with lol

This didn't make it to final, but in this shot I did for the opening of Amphibia, I deliberately chose to have Anne's leg break through Sprig's body between frames to maintain the clarity of the run. Is that the right call? It felt right to me! And I've done it in plenty of other places since. (1/3)

Going out of order a bit now, because I haven't posted anything in a while and I was reminded of this one shot I did for Moon Girl. It's not the most complex, or one that took that long─ In fact I'm pretty sure I finished this one in under a day─ but it's one of my all time favs ♥ #animation

Quick share of one of my personal favorite shots from my time boarding on Lego Monkie Kid, a side by side comparison. In this shot MK is alone, trapped in a vase, and I got really excited when I thought up this way of making him feel isolated #storyboards

Probably my favorite board on Lego Monkie kid, season 3 episode 4. I like this one because I got launched with minimal direction, mostly just the script and "hey make sure they look like they're talking to each other." Can you believe most of us boarded in harmony lmao #storyboard #animatic
