“I care minus. Please go kill or die.” Is an all-timer Alfabusa quote.
By far one of the most useful, yet understated art tips I’ve ever seen is that, if you’re ever unsure about your line weight, you can always erase some of your lines to get the weight you want. It doesn’t have to just be the responsibility of your hand control.
A big reason why I was so indecisive about including Gameboy music in my collection was because my only point of reference was the stereo variants of the Pokemon Gen 1 & 2 soundtracks. Y’know, the one that separates the sound channels so widely that they don’t bleed into the opposite speaker.
Another whiteboard doodle, this time of SpongeBob, after someone mistook the little square face I made when testing a marker for him. Also, it’s my 28th Birthday today. Is nice.
Back in February, I doodled this to test out reflective material rendering. I’d been overthinking what colors to use when shading and highlighting; it’s the exact same as the ones I use for the rest of the piece. Whatever color variance will manifest if I just… y’know… render the reflections.
In April, I practiced rendering two hairstyles over top some stock images I found. Capturing them exactly--let alone polishing them--was never the priority, but getting the vibes down was. I'll refine my strategy as I go forward, but I think this is a satisfying direction to pursue.
The weird part is that the system is pulling artwork from other accounts. I can access the original creators of these invading pieces from these peoples’ galleries. I’ll reiterate: this problem isn’t unique to Francois here. It does this for EVERY account I visit, especially after I refresh a page.
Parts of Kamel’s model were later used for Digby, while having a propensity for beaching himself and getting himself stuck, is decidedly NOT dead. Meanwhile, the next shipwreck that appears much later in “Hank and the Sunken Ship” mercifully doesn’t have a face. A liiiiiiiiiiittle easier to digest.
I was talking to @peanutpatch.bsky.social ahout this yesterday, but I suddenly remembered how that old Theodore Tugboat anthropomorphized a shipwreck. They gave them the remnants of a face and even a name, Kamel. Oh, that’s a dead body. That’s a dead body in my children’s cartoon.
I compiled two workplace whiteboard doodles I made back in January. Not something I do often, but they were fun!
An adorable doodle I got from @grimdoodlez.bsky.social, celebrating our Cookie Run Conversations! So much about this franchise—not single game, like I thought—that I don’t know about!
Hey artists! Quote with something DRAMATIC 🎭 CW: Blood and mild gore. One of my more important pieces on a technical level, as it was the progenitor for how I render lighting nowadays. I've refined my process a lot since then.

I have two, preserved from @superultra64.bsky.social from the hellsite. Part one is here. The second one will be posted in a reply.
Yeah, they’re fun! I have Code Red (on the left), and Freakwency is comimg up later this year!
It's easy for me to forget just how much I've improved over time. All those little private sessions of studying color relationships and whatnot have really paid off. If there's one thing I want to do more of that I used to, it's more character design and fantastical settings. Someday.
Post something random or have an awful October. Here’s an absolutely delightful thumbnail I found.
Here's the original sketch compared to the finished one. There's still a bit of roughness retained between the two, but I refined what I wanted to. CW: Body Horror again. 2/2
You're a Gym Leader who specialises in randomly generated Pokémon Randomly generate a team of 4 and post who you get. Oh, I dunno about this one. Like, at all. XU
Beaker says hello. He likes to say “Wah” like Wario and is about 17 or so years old. He’s currently molting but is content and relaxed otherwise. B-) Stanley says hello, too. Since last year, he’s begun sleeping in my room at night. He does a quick little tap-dance whenever he wants food. XP
Honestly, I felt like I could push things a little further with my last piece. Plus, there were some subtle things I wanted to address. So, finally, emphatically... YUMMERS.
The last entry on this thread reminded me of another one of my funniest dreams: the Dante Pissing Ritual.
