He taught me and my brothers* how to love each other, protect each other, and teach each other. He supported all of the directions our nerdiness took, and works so hard to learn from us. I love him and I’m so, so lucky to have him as one of my dads.
Happy Father’s Day to this guy who taught me how to tie my shoes, take an L, drive a car, fix anything, and what it looks like to want to be a dad. He took me in multiple times during my childhood and made sure I felt safe enough so that I could grow, graduate high school and get into college.
