I forgot to share an old power plant I got into a week ago I thought the big hoist was really cool :3
3d printed some emergency robot grippers out of PA6-CF. Slight design modification was needed, and this buys us time until we can machine new ones.
Recently been working on a new machine, about 90% done with design. We're doing automated contact insertion on mil-spec connectors. Bulk pins/sockets get put in the chutes at the back, get sorted, picked, and inserted into the desired locations on connectors that are staged in the trays up front.
I traced the pattern with an extra 1cm offset on either side and glued them up. We'll see if these fit better :3
Been having some floor time with latex I bought recently Tried making some fingerless gloves, which forced me to learn how to glue curved seams. They worked! But they're way too tight...

I picked up an Airboss LBM recently and I really like the look and feel of it! Wearing a perforated hood underneath it is nice :3c I want to order a drink at some kinky bar event and suck it through the internal drinking tube in front of the bartender
TFF had a testing booth and they gave me a little fox plushy. Turns out my little dragon mask keychain fits on him like perfectly He's a freak!!
Took the time this week to make a little box for my toolmaker's flat. I picked up a board of curly maple and fixtured pieces with masking tape and CA glue. Never tried that method before, was surprised by how strong it was! Really happy with how it turned out!
Chasing servo encoder errors for a day before realizing that it was absolutely fucked. Got crushed while jacking up part of the machine, nobody realized all the weight was bearing on the encoder :')
There's no public third places anymore so I guess I'll wander into active quarrying operations. Why did they leave this thing parked on the edge of a hundred foot cliff?
