me: i'll base the combat on wind waker's! i like how fluid it feels! me, seeing how many small nuances there are in wind waker's combat even in simple combo finishers:

valley otiri are likely to wear either since they all migrated from either koriki woods or anku mountain, and lake otiri tend to wear collars similar to neiryu and nabera's.
iirc what i had figured out at least is the forest otiri (save for my non-canon girl shieru) wear the hoods while mountain otiri wear the neck wraps and scarves influenced by the outfits of their resident oneh, rolus and retea.
at one point i made a non-canon lucouverse oc who's a forest native that just spends her time hanging around ro atiri
i *might* redo lucou's eyelid texture so she looks more like her concept art
i dont know what made me give her this kinda nose and brows but i really like it on her
my honest reaction to how fuckin long it took to figure out the toon shading issues
trying to get point lights working well with toon shaders is a nightmare because the only way i've found to actually prevent THIS from happening is to have the shading be solid black. which doesnt look good in this art style
i think the most unintentionally era-accurate thing i've ever done is accidentally making volt in a way where she cannot go through loops unscripted because the only other way for it to work would be to add a vomit-cam and i aint doing that

see ok before i saw the movie i wouldve agreed with the "blinded by nostalgia" complaint since it did seem like a lot of people were wanting the series to go back to what evil dead 2 and army of darkness were. but after having seen it burn is one of those movies i like less the more i think about it
look what you have to do to achieve this pose. is it truly worth it. to mangle tricky like this.
