#StandWithUkraine to ban fossil fuels and support the clean energy revolution in Ukraine and in the world.
Sanctions against Russia are a step forward, but loopholes remain. The EU’s 21st #sanctions package increases pressure on the Kremlin, but the exemption allowing continued Russian LNG shipments to non-EU countries protects interests such as Greek LNG shipowner #Dynagas 👇
Europe must decide: should private #energy interests weaken sanctions to reduce Russia’s war revenues? The EU’s 21st #sanctions package must close LNG shipping loopholes.
@creacleanair.bsky.social data show that Dynagas shipped ~33% of Yamal #LNG cargoes in the first half of 2025, 3.4 million tonnes, worth around €1.7 billion. 1/2 👇
Ireland has asked EU member states to consider guidance on implementing the #EUMethaneRegulation amid pressure from major gas exporters to weaken the rules 👇
Two sanctioned tankers, Glory Ocean and Bright Ocean, are carrying critical modules for Russia's Arctic gas projects through EU and UK waters toward Belokamenka. Sanctions only work if they're enforced. Europe still has time to stop these shipments before they reach port 👇
Razom We Stand is proud to join 100+ civil society organisations calling on UN Member States to build just, equitable, and responsible mineral value chains. For Ukraine, reconstruction is an opportunity to ensure critical minerals are governed with transparency, and long-term public benefit 👇
The EU’s failure to agree on an oil price cap before 15 July risks giving the Kremlin an unnecessary financial boost. The cap could rise from $44.10 to around $58/barrel, weakening sanctions at a time when #Ukraine needs stronger support 👇
UK #sanctions still allow Russian oil to enter global fuel supplies. A loophole allows Russian crude to be refined in third countries and sold as non-Russian fuel. Svitlana Romanko, executive director of Razom We Stand, said the refining loophole was "not a loophole – it's a highway." 👇
Russia’s fossil fuel revenues fund its war machine. Effective sanctions require closing loopholes, enforcing restrictions, and stopping support for Russian #LNG exports.
Today in Kyiv, at a KSE discussion with David O’Sullivan, International Special Envoy for the Implementation of EU Sanctions, we called on the EU to strengthen #sanctions on Russia’s #energy sector, especially Arctic #LNG projects 👇
Greek shipping companies earned at least $3.8B transporting Russian #oil over the past three years, helping fuel Kremlin revenues despite G7 efforts to curb them. @financialtimes.com
Two sanctioned, false-flagged vessels, GLORY OCEAN (IMO 9934498) and BRIGHT OCEAN (IMO 9830769), are entering European waters with sanctioned Chinese-built modules for Russia’s #LNG project 👇
Europe's clean #energy transition depends on where its critical raw materials come from. As the EU seeks to diversify beyond China, Ukraine has an opportunity to build a mineral sector grounded in transparency, strong institutions and good governance, not just extraction.
Overnight, Russian drone and missile strikes on Kyiv killed 20 civilians in their homes. Meanwhile, reports say the Russian Arc7 #LNG tanker Rudolf Samoylovich is undergoing maintenance in Denmark, raising concerns about ongoing support for Russia’s LNG exports.
Razom We Stand joined 200+ civil society organisations in endorsing The Gdańsk Common Message at #URC2026. Ukraine's recovery must be built with civil society. We call for meaningful public participation and transparent, inclusive recovery. #URC2026CSF
By 2025, Russian petroleum oil’s share in #EU imports fell from 25% to 2% (9.7m tonnes), according to the European Commission 👇
At our #URC2026 side event we explored how microgrids and decentralised renewable energy can protect critical infrastructure accelerating Ukraine's EU integration and clean energy transition. Ukraine's energy recovery is Europe's energy security. #EnergySecurity #UkraineRecovery #RenewableEnergy
Russia's share of EU #gas imports fell from 51% in 2019 to 12% in 2025. Yet Russia remains the EU's third-largest gas supplier, with ~36 bcm still entering the European market. Europe has proven that diversification is possible 👇
Razom We Stand joined nearly 30 civil society organisations in calling on the @ec.europa.eu to protect the EU Methane Regulation and reject a de facto “stop-the-clock” mechanism.
Join us at #URC2026 for a high-level panel on how microgrids and island-mode operation can boost Ukraine’s wartime energy resilience while supporting a clean, decentralised energy future. 📅 25 June 2026 | 18:00–19:00 📍 Hotel Gdańsk Boutique, Gdańsk, Poland 🏛️ Hosted by @razomwestand.bsky.social
Russia struck Kyiv again overnight, damaging the #Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, killing at least 5 people and injuring 35. In May alone, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, France, and Belgium paid Russia €2 billion for fossil fuels. Europe's words must be matched by action. Adopt the 21st #sanctions package now.
Europe is entering a new phase in the critical minerals race. EU stockpiles, EU–US cooperation, and G7 moves to reduce dependency on China show a clear shift. Critical minerals are now strategic assets for defence, EVs, and #energy 👇
But #REPowerEU must be protected. Civil society must act as a watchdog, and the EU must move without delay on banning Russian oil. Let 2027 be the year Europe ends Russian fossil fuel imports.
True security starts with #energy security. Europe must end its dependence on fossil fuels that fuel wars and instability. In Ukraine, we see the consequences every day. At #EUSEW2026, we highlighted #REPowerEU and welcomed the EU’s permanent ban on Russian gas as a key step forward 👇
The EU's coal ban (Aug 2022) was the first full break from a Russian #energy commodity: imports fell to zero, while alternatives filled the gap. Still, indirect links remain, some Kazakh coal transits via Russian ports under exemptions, generating handling revenues.
🎤 Our Executive Director & Founder, Svitlana Romanko, will speak at 2 sessions at #EUSEW2026: 📅 Tue 9 June | 15:30–17:00 REPowerEU: From Russian fossil fuels to energy independence & sustainability 📅 Wed 10 June | 15:30–17:00 How accelerating the energy transition improves Europe’s security 👇
