I got like, a Philly-style beef egg and cheese breakfast on a bagel and it’s so fucking good, I never want to eat anything ever again

Another ball pit day at doggy daycare. Sometimes these are what pull me through the workday, you guys!!

Doggy daycare outdid themselves this time.

A whippoorwill was calling endlessly with such exact repetition that I assumed our bird clock was broken and got up to take the batteries out. Some googling later… I find that at least I am not alone!!!

Today was bubbles day at Stella’s daycare. She was clearly thrilled and totally into it.

Found a holy grail of non-spicy Mexican food (I mean, u had to get it without the jalapeño crema, but usually there are too many spicy things for just one fix!). It was so fucking good.

A while ago, @wrdnrd.bsky.social was like, do you want this foraging journal and I was like… hell yeah I do, and today I made my first entry. Parts of my fingers still stinging; ate some leaves with my dinner. I think I want to try tea next; didn’t get much flavor.

A and I are about to see a play; Lady Disdain, which is a modern retelling of Much Ado About Nothing. The premise is that B&B are recording the lead roles in an audio book recording of a popular Romantasy novel, and I think the premise sounds good. We’ll see!

But it was a shoujo where she was super shy and she met a friend online who turned out to be the popular guy at school. And his bestie was like super skeptical of her. But she was just super shy.
But it was just one volume.

How could I walk away from this?!
