Sonic the Comic issue 88 is now on the Internet Archive: archive.org/details/soni... This issue features my favourite goof from the comic's run: the lettering is repeated across two pages. The comic would later apologise for it and the story would eventually be reprinted with the right lettering.
Sonic the Comic issue 86 is now on Internet Archive! Thanks again to @animatedaf.co.uk for the assist with the pinup pages. archive.org/details/soni...
Thanks, Pete. We have, in the meantime, had @animatedaf.co.uk come to the rescue. (Please excuse the BlueSky compression.) Issue 86 will be releasing later today. :)
Hi everyone. The Sonic the Comic Rescan Project could use a hand. None of us have the Crabmeat pinup from issue 86. Does anyone have this issue and either a scanner or a willingness to send it to us to scan (we will send it back to you after).
Doing some fill-in scans for missing pages (mostly pinups) this morning so that we can get a bunch of the 90 range issues released. :)
It was really kind of @playstation.com to announce their plans to kill physical games during the @steampowered.com Summer Sale. If I'm being forced into an all-digital marketplace, it may as well be on the open platform of PC with meaningful competition between multiple store fronts.
That's beautiful! I have an unboxed one with a matching VMU that's become my daily driver.
If you want a super easy way to make me buy something, make it ice blue. I have spent more than I would like to admit buying stuff I already have the normal version of just because there was an ice blue edition.
@jon.gvg.io I hope you don't mind me messaging you. I put out a Star Fox video last night that's done pretty badly (12 views per hour badly) and I was wondering if you had any thoughts on ways I could improve so that the next video doesn't flop quite this hard? youtu.be/rZmQ7jXRTqo
Here's why Sony ending physical PlayStation games is terrible. Last week, I saw @thegoldenbolt.com 's video about Ratchet clones. G-Force looked genuinely cool and I've never played it before, it's long delisted, but I could buy a physocal copy on eBay. That option disappears from January 2028.
Thank you. I've highlighted a page here as the biggest difference in the before and afters. Oddly, the StC Archive scans have Shining Force Part 5 in issue 76 and Part 4 in their issue 77, the reverse order to what it should be.
I spent my weekend playing and recording footage from different versions of Star Fox. Video inbound (probably, assuming ADD doesn't take the wheel. I still have a Pragmata video to edit too!)
Just went back and replayed through Lylat Wars to compare with the remake. You'll have to wait for my full thoughts! 😉
Eww, the official PlayStation Android app has updated its icon to resemble Grand Theft Auto VI.
First run of many. Man, they just don't make 'em like this anymore. I need to sharpen myself back up to go after those medal scores!
Benchmarking puts the Steam Machine as comparable to a base PlayStation 5. A PS5 is £520 vs £938 for a Steam Machine (you can't get a PS5 without a controller, so comparing to that tier - even then, a PS5 has more storage). Likewise, an Xbox Series X is £450. Half the price, double the storage.
The Steam Machine is significantly more expensive than I thought it would be, ranging from £879 to £1,208! I know the prices of electronics has shot up due to demand from data centres and I was expecting Valve to have to charge more, but this prices me and many others out. 🧵
Sonic Fanfest has been amazing! Huge thanks to everyone who made it a great day. I got some awesome pickups from @shoogles.bsky.social @magicalmorg.bsky.social and @abbybulmer.bsky.social , saw an awesome performance by @tjdavis.bsky.social and ate good food with friends.
Huge thanks to @fishflop.bsky.social for organising and to all of the artists for taking part. Here's my contribution.
Hell yeah, Gitaroo Man is on PlayStation 4 and 5! Go get it, it's amazing! And if you have Plus Premium, it's included in your subscription.
Worked off some rust by drawing @haruspexhare.com 's avatar. I've missed traditional materials. I feel much more confident with them. It's easier to see and consider the whole image and I kind of like that's there's no Ctrl+Z. I love the texture markers on paper gives too.
Legitimately one of the best deals in comics. £12.99 each, 250 to 300 pages, covers entire arcs in reading order including annuals and such. Imagine if Fleetway got this treatment.
