New day. New flowers brought in for Mom 💐

I don’t always take pictures but try to bring in flowers often for mom—unless extra buds blooms that are already in—as sadly, these die every day

Dex is loving the weather these last few days as it’s not too hot to be on the porch 😻

Mom sure was excited today as one of our canna Lillies started to bloom 😻

Harvested some lettuce 🥬 & black cherry tomatoes 🍅 & added some almonds, dried mixed berries & raspberry vinegarette dressing tonight—YUM 🤤 harvested dill to dry out too

Have a basil plant doing well this year. We’ve never grown basil nor remember really using it growing up—Maybe it’s a Midwest thing—Of course, it’s probably been in spaghetti sauces we’ve bought over the years. Anyway, I saw it’s often added to goulash so doing that today 🤤

Mom’s Lillies are loving this weather

Yum 🤤 “stuffed peppers” with the green peppers already cut up.

Made mom baked whiting with lemon 🍋 butter 🧈 etc plus roasted potatoes 🥔 & side salad. Lettuce 🥬 peas 🫛 & dill from our garden 😃

Harvested lettuce for first time a couple days ago & dill for the 2nd time—made a dill & garden onion 🧅 salad 🥗 It tasted so good 😊 Today I harvested peas 🫛 for 1st time as couldn’t wait any longer—wanted—dipped in hummus. More of this please 😃

Yes, been planting seeds & repotting seedlings & gifted plants etc aka growing vegetables again this year. A few haven’t done anything, a few have died & a few are looking pretty yellow but overall, looking like I’ll have some success again like last year.

Planted some family canna bulbs this year for Mom. They’ve been coming up nicely.

Made Mom a crustless spinach, onion & cheese quiche this morning—up that iron 😆 YUM 🤤
