He stayed in the Naval Reserve for years afterward, retiring as a captain. O’Brien returned to occasional roles in Ford’s later films, including FORT APACHE and SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but it’s SUNRISE that secured his place in film history. 6/9
