Bio: Maine Secretary of State Prev: State Senator, Executive Director of HHRC Maine + ACLU of Maine
This weekend, Democrats across Maine will choose the delegates who will pick our next U.S. Senate nominee in Bangor on July 25. Send delegates who share our values: healthcare as a right, workers and unions backed, neighbors protected, and a democracy defended. mainedems.org/senate-race/...
Our government needs to be investing in us, not the rich and powerful. As your Senator, I’ll make sure we put your tax dollars at work for you. If it works in Maine, it will work in Washington.
My father was a carpenter. My mother worked nights in a light bulb factory, raised three of us during the day, and then went to college at 49 to become a nurse. I don’t just talk about working people. I am one. I’m running for the United States Senate. Sign up to volunteer! CL7P2qPwDUOxmk0mwXK1pw2
Tonight’s the night. At 7 p.m., I’ll be on the debate stage sharing why I’m the best candidate to take on Susan Collins this fall. I’ll fight for Medicare for All, workers’ rights, protecting our neighbors, and defending our democracy. Watch on News Center Maine, WCSH 6, WLBZ 2, or the app.
It is with pride an excitement that I signed this grassroots pledge and stand with the over 500 Mainers calling for a more transparent, people first campaign. We deserve to trust our public officials, and running on a grassroots, value-driven platform is the very first step.
I’m honored to be endorsed by these three incredible national feminist groups. I’m incredibly grateful that they trust me with their mission to defend women and our rights in the Senate. Together we will build a strong coalition to secure Maine women the representation deserve.
This isn’t about politics. It’s about using the power you have to stand up for the people of Maine. ICE OUT.
Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero was the 11th person killed by ICE or border patrol since Trump took office. That is unacceptable. Mainers are united in wanting ICE out of our community.
I’m so excited to launch my campaign for US Senate because flipping the Senate in November is crucial. I’m running to pass Medicare for all, fight for workers’ rights, and protect our neighbors. Join me in this journey at Bellowsformaine.com
I'm in. The people of Maine have been building something real – a movement that deserves to go all the way to November. I've spent my entire career taking on tough fights for working people, and I'm not stopping now. I'm running for US Senate, and together we are going to defeat Susan Collins.
Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way, and congratulations to Hannah Pingree, who will be a great Governor!
We’re enjoying the wait with pizza at Cushnoc in Augusta tonight!
Thank you Maine! This has been the journey of a lifetime and I’m so grateful for the support. We’re just getting started.
Closed out the night in Portland where we saw my friends Angus King III and Councilor Pious Ali! If you’re in line, please stay in line to vote!
Less than an hour to go VOTE! Polls close at 8. Then we celebrate a great campaign powered by the people!
Took time out to testify at the PUC public hearing today. CMP wants to raise electricity rates again by an estimated $18 per household. I asked the PUC to reject the rate increases & cap the profits of foreign owned power companies to 6%. As your Governor I’m going to work hard to make that happen.
In Auburn today, I thanked a Vietnam veteran for his service and met the late afternoon voters coming through. The warden tells us there’s been great turnout today. Be part of the movement for change by voting Bellows #1 before the polls close at 8.
On your way out of the voting place, you might see petitions in favor of universal healthcare and a ban on Flock cameras. When I’m Governor, we’ll get this done because healthcare is a human right and Flock cameras are a massive invasion of privacy. Make your voice heard!
Great to be in Lewiston this afternoon. Did you know you can register to vote today and cast your ballot? I chaired the campaign for same day voter registration back in 2011, so every Maine citizen can cast their vote today!
Stopped for lunch at Fast Eddy’s in Winthrop! A great place to fuel up as we are crossing the state! Polls close at 8, don’t forget to make a plan to vote
Early bird gets the worm, I mean — the ballot! Great to be in Bangor this morning with my friends @hannahpingree.bsky.social and @troyjackson207.bsky.social to thank voters for showing up for democracy!
My pledge to you is this: as your next governor, I will always say what I mean and I will always do what I say. Thank you Maine
Honored to make Passamaquoddy Indian Township (Motahkomikuk) one of my last campaign stops of the campaign to talk with Wabanaki tribal members about how we advance tribal sovereignty and education in our state.
Over the last two weeks, I’ve been traveling the state for our People Power Progress tour and I’ve been honored to visit all 16 counties!
Hi! I’m Shenna, and I’m asking for your vote for governor, so I can freeze Mainer’s property taxes, fund our schools and defend democracy. Primary day is tomorrow! Your vote is your voice.
From Bath to Damariscotta to Wiscasset to Saco to Scarborough to York, we were everywhere today talking to voters about what’s at stake on Tuesday! If you haven’t voted yet, make sure to make a plan for Tuesday!
