My highlights at this point have been Asta punting down the Spree in black satin and a terrific panel on the lesser-cited women crucial to the formidable reputations of great early French filmmakers.
I am attending the @wfhinetwork.bsky.social Women and the Silent Screen conference for the first time, here in sunny Brussels. So far we have had a feast of Asta Nielsen, Léontine, and archival adventures.
