Surprise! I’ll be entering Galadriel in Masters of Cosplay at Fan Expo Boston on Saturday! I've been getting the competing bug again over the past year, so figured I could jump in with something I already made so I'm not stressing too much about it. I’m so excited to hang backstage and talk shop!

This piecing was not in my original plans for this hood but I pivoted because I needed a straight-grain drape all around for it to fall how I wanted. And hey, now I have a sexy intersection 😜

Vax hood mockup! This is going to be in a black raw silk, with ragged distressed edges, and will be detachable from the cape so I can wear the cape with or without it 🙌

Starting to add feathers to the sheepskin for some yummy texture! The black/green rooster feathers blend super well, but they can also easily read “costumey” because they’re one of the cheapest feather types. To counteract this, I add a few different other colours for a varied “real world” look.

Made a bunch more silk feathers on my lunch break! And I took video this time so hopefully I’ll have a little demo up soon!
