Camera broke for the return trip to see the local Long-tailed Shrike. So phone pics it was. Also saw a female Quail run across a track with three young in tow.
Congrats first author Kyu Min Huh on our paper out in @royalsocietypublishing.org Journal of the RS Interface. Titled "Natural take-off flight performance is repeatable and scalable in mixed flock tit species". Link: doi.org/10.1098/rsif...
Amazing day in the lab flying a Bateleur Eagle. He performed tremendously well!
Work is very enjoyable at the moment due to the volume of baby birds!
Some exciting new Bird of Prey experiments starting in the Flight Lab

Kittens are really struggling in the heat. Too fluffy and won’t stop running around - then end up panting. So Hall floor with fans!
Congrats @ghtrabin.bsky.social on winning best talk at the @biology.ox.ac.uk postgraduate symposium
Was very fortunate to have some fantastic 4th year MBiol students working with our group this year! And they bought me a great present. All off to do exciting new things!
