Happy Rock Day! This is my favourite rock - a small pebble that is rather sad! Rescued from a beach in #Iceland (oops). He's happier now, honest.

A small round grey volcanic rock with a down-turned sad little mouth, and two eyes (one with a lovely shiny tiny pebble in it, the other empty).

My favourite swirly reflections photo from last week (possibly - there were lots!) from #CanaryWharf for this week's #ShareMondays2026.

Patterns of building and sky reflections in slightly swirly water. There are some lighter bits were the buildings are in the sun and some darker blue areas where the buildings reflected are in shade. Blue from the sky reflected in swirly strips.

Another view from NW #Scotland in Nov 2022. This is the top of An Teallach, one of the most stunning places (it's a Munro, and the trail up was pretty dire, but worth it!).

The top of a mountain with pale pink pancake layered rocks going off into the distance, with some jagged peaks in shadow in the distance under grey skies. There is some nice light on the Torridonian sandstone rocks.

Lots and lots of circles and swirls and lines with reflections of buildings of metal and glass. Colours are blue and green, with pale metal bits that look pale pink or beige.

Dazzle camouflage or hydro dipping? (Not terms I'd heard of, but what my husband thought of when I showed him). Absolutely adore these shapes & patterns & colours! I see a couple of fish 🐟🐟 Reflections in #CanaryWharf - shot with a long lens & high ISO to make sure the patterns were distinct.

Exciting news! More Canterbury Bells flowers have arrived so the bee B&B is open for business again! No takers yet but will check again later/tomorrow :)

Finally took my proper camera to Canary Wharf today to photograph the building reflections. They were magnificent! Will have to wait until later this week to process them but here’s a taster from the back of the camera :)

I try to avoid overblown highlights and weird sun flares, but sometimes you have to embrace them! From sunrise yesterday up on #Berkhamsted Common.

Grasses backlit by the rising sun. Only a few are in focus, intentionally, with the others blurred. The sun is on the horizon looking large and white; the rest of the scene is yellow/orange.

Opium poppies in a nearby field. They're past their prime, so mostly just seed heads, but still a few of the delightful flowers left. Love the crinkly petals, that look like crêpe paper :) #IvinghoeBeacon #CanonPhotography

Up early again this morning, out taking photos of my two favourite celestial bodies :) Nice sunspots visible. The drifting clouds made for a nice filter so I could photograph the sun without a filter. #Berkhamsted #IvinghoeBeacon #CanonPhotography

The weekend starts here! I'm fascinated by certain flowers that continue to flower at the top end of their stems - like foxgloves, and this one which is a yellow toadflax (seen on #Berkhamsted Common last night) - while the seed pods appear below when the flower has died.

A long stem with some bright yellow and orange flowers near the top, some buds for new flowers right at the top, and below the remains of the earlier, older flowers (which look blue) giving way to seed pods. Background is blurred with another toadflax stem and some ferns.

Saw this cute little crab spider on a foxglove at the weekend. Tried to get a bit closer but it kept edging away from me to the other side of the stalk! #macro #spider
