Happy Rock Day! This is my favourite rock - a small pebble that is rather sad! Rescued from a beach in #Iceland (oops). He's happier now, honest.
If you've enjoyed my reflection images from #CanaryWharf, I now have a gallery of them on my website - please have a look! www.sophiecarrphotography.com/portfolio/G0... And there's a 10% off voucher this month using code SUMMER26 if you fancy a print or download ☺️
Another image from Bonnie Scotland - this time from Loch Lurgainn in golden hour light, taken in December 2025. #Scotland #CanonR5markII
My favourite swirly reflections photo from last week (possibly - there were lots!) from #CanaryWharf for this week's #ShareMondays2026.
Another view from NW #Scotland in Nov 2022. This is the top of An Teallach, one of the most stunning places (it's a Munro, and the trail up was pretty dire, but worth it!).
Just had the most heartfelt message and friend request on here… Ugh someone just kill AI now please 🤦🏼♀️😭
The vibe in Parsons Green (SW London) tonight… Obviously it’s Establishment Central here 😭🤦🏼♀️🤣
And back to the swirly reflections... #CanaryWharf #abstract #CanonR5markII
Little break from the reflection shots... Here's the mighty Beinn Eighe in NW #Scotland, photographed in Nov 2022. Looks particularly lovely in autumn. #Canon5DIV #Mountains
The weekend starts here! And yet more building reflections for you - this one a little more zoomed in. It is surprisingly challenging to focus if you zoom in, as the surface of the water and the building reflected are on totally different planes... #abstract #CanaryWharf #CanonR5markii
I think this one would make an amazing silk scarf. Or perhaps a jigsaw - for the masochists out there! #abstractart #reflections #CanaryWharf
Finally cool enough to leave the house for a walk and nip to water the allotment. Just caught the sun as it disappeared behind the railway tracks at #Berkhamsted :)
Sometimes the reflections get a bit psychedelic 🌀🌀 #abstract #reflections #CanaryWharf
Little pieces of a building scattered across the surface of the water :) #abstract #reflections #CanaryWharf
Dazzle camouflage or hydro dipping? (Not terms I'd heard of, but what my husband thought of when I showed him). Absolutely adore these shapes & patterns & colours! I see a couple of fish 🐟🐟 Reflections in #CanaryWharf - shot with a long lens & high ISO to make sure the patterns were distinct.
Another Canary Wharf reflection before I go to bed. #Reflections #CanonPhotography #CanaryWharf
Found one of the rare sea dragons of #CanaryWharf :) #CanonPhotography #Reflections #CanonR5markII #Reflections #pareidolia
Exciting news! More Canterbury Bells flowers have arrived so the bee B&B is open for business again! No takers yet but will check again later/tomorrow :)
Amazing skies tonight as seen out of my flat’s back window in London :) #iphone15pro
Finally took my proper camera to Canary Wharf today to photograph the building reflections. They were magnificent! Will have to wait until later this week to process them but here’s a taster from the back of the camera :)
I'll be sending out my July newsletter tomorrow, featuring rivers seen from drones in #Iceland! If you haven't already subscribed, there's also a free guide to Iceland's south coast when you sign up, lots of tips and news, and a discount code! Link in bio. Here's a taste of things to come :)
Some more of those backlit grasses, at sunset this time, taken on a quick nip up to Berkhamsted Common after work last week. #Berkhamsted #CanonPhotography
I try to avoid overblown highlights and weird sun flares, but sometimes you have to embrace them! From sunrise yesterday up on #Berkhamsted Common.
Opium poppies in a nearby field. They're past their prime, so mostly just seed heads, but still a few of the delightful flowers left. Love the crinkly petals, that look like crêpe paper :) #IvinghoeBeacon #CanonPhotography
Up early again this morning, out taking photos of my two favourite celestial bodies :) Nice sunspots visible. The drifting clouds made for a nice filter so I could photograph the sun without a filter. #Berkhamsted #IvinghoeBeacon #CanonPhotography
The weekend starts here! I'm fascinated by certain flowers that continue to flower at the top end of their stems - like foxgloves, and this one which is a yellow toadflax (seen on #Berkhamsted Common last night) - while the seed pods appear below when the flower has died.
Popped out after work to enjoy some greenery. Found this lovely selection of birch trees. #Berkhamsted #Green
Did post video of this but quality so appalling I deleted it! So here’s a still photo from the #iphone15Pro of some lovely Canary Wharf reflections earlier.
My selection of images for the monthly #fsprintmonday competition for June :)
