Fordola sits in her cell, Sage calls to her through the door, "Hey Fordola?"

Fordola is indignant, "Hmph... What do you want?"

Sage responds, "Just... wanted to say that I understand how you feel, with regards to how things have turned out..."

Outside the cell. Sage leans against the wall in his ninja garb, speaking to Fordola through the door, "Having plans turn on their head, the weight on your shoulders, the burden, wanting it all to mean something, anything at all... In some ways, it feels almost insulting. That the star's still turning, that everything goes on.... But try to keep going. Find a little something in it all, some meaning, even if it's going through the motions... That's what I figure anyway."

Fordola in her cell, is not having it. She responds with venom in her voice, "My, what a rousing speech! You've certainly given me much to think about while I sit here, locked up in a gaol cell doing bugger all! So tell me then, Warrior of Light. Was this sanctimonious preaching which you violated my ears with for me...?"

Sage is against the wall of the cell, looking sad. Fordola's voice carries out of the cell, "...or for you?"

While she can't see it, Fordola's words have struck a chord.

I'm not 100% settled on it, but one idea that I've been toying with is something of a "Spellsword" A PLD base, but swapping a shield with a tome, leaning more into spells and magic for offense and defense. Or ditching the sword entirely for SMN/SCH. A tactical all-rounder #oc:sage

I also like the idea that Sage takes up ARC instead and slowly grows it into SMN/SCH. Building on his experience as an adventurer, and giving some homage to his starting in Limsa. Just something he grows in Post-EW and integrates into his swordplay in DT. Decisions, decisions. #oc:sage #Viera

Comparing the vibe On one hand, I think Sage keeping PLD and picking up WHM when recovering from EW and VPR as an alt job was good at rounding him out and building on his personal choices through his journey. On the other hand... ⤵️
