Profile is wip but I’ve opened a teepublic shop with some of my recent art, looks like stuff’s on sale now too! www.teepublic.com/user/tanya-b...
Thinking about gorgons & the perhaps apocryphal version (if you don’t believe myths are ever evolving living things) where the serpents are not a curse but a divine shield against those looking to commit harm. Being afraid of something merely because it can defend itself is an impulse to examine.
Sick today so using the back of a receipt for #makeaterriblecomicday2026 is 💯% my speed.
This is the belt bag I currently have btw. Turned out to be a bit too small for all my faire essentials but there’s separate easy access pockets inside for cards, hand sanitizer, and phone. It can easily be opened one handed when you have a drinking vessel in the other hand iykyk.
Got a late start on leaving for our new home but that meant I was around to meet these rescue babies so
More signs like this please! (current view on our road trip meal break)
Event art I did for a friend’s local strength competition that values mental health, inclusion, and community. Hosted by an area Norge Lodge. Watching her walk this path and grow into a leader and coach has been inspiring and heartwarming. There are so many ways to be the good kind of strong.
We had a cat with a similar nose for 15 years and it never affected her breathing and she didn’t have issues with respiratory infections. Sending good thoughts for your fur bucket!
Finalizing the design for a block print greeting card, I’ve been making a new one each year for vending at a local dark holiday market with a Wild Hunt procession. Looking forward to busting out my carving tools and little print press (I gifted myself a press last year and oh the time it saves).
The war against accurate anatomy in Halloween decorations rages on unabated.
Outside of “working hours” I try to work on projects just for fun and impossible to make money off of, especially if it’s something tactile an algorithm could never. This time I woke up one morning with an urge to do this.
tfw it’s been a while since last dnd session and this is what the last page of your notebook looks like to remind you where things left off.
Took an unplanned social media break, but wanted to share this lovely Mourning Cloak that visited earlier today 🦋
Wounding others with curdled fear will never lighten your own burden. Should you choose to heal and grow, you won’t be alone on the journey.
Finished making a worm cover for a weighted body pillow that I’d started last year and I love it.
Galdrastafir for this month. May the concept of strength be decoupled from cruelty in more peoples’ minds.
Last week was an exhausting whirlwind of appointments but now I can see again, feeling like a cartoon nerd rolling up their sleeves in these glasses. ✏️
Staying with friends just outside Portland and if I could take this walk daily it would fix me.
Are there any recommendations for sites that do print on demand stickers? Thinking of making a few more like this but don’t wanna deal with inventory or shipping rn, esp as this is the kind of thing I’m already sneaking in outside of focused work hours.
Here’s Pi enjoying the electric blanket (we turn it on for her when we spot her there)
One of my goals for the new year is to keep up on practicing making galdrastafir, even if it’s just once a month.
