Creator & Exec Producer of “Dial F For Football”. "The Tuesday Club" Arsenal podcaster Award winning audio producer. DJ. Music nerd. Ageing Trequartista. Mostly Arsenal stuff on here, let's be honest. Bring me the head of Nelson Vivas ⚽️📻🎙️🎵
Like Robert Johnson I've made my deal with the devil. In this case Cucurella's happiness is a price worth paying for the tears of Enzo Fernandes and that little wrongun Barco. Viva Espana 🇪🇸
Me and Djed Spence right now. Armistice business. Acting like it’s Xmas day 1914.
If you're looking for omens, I just beat an Argentinian player called "Cheloman9" with his Messi avatar and everything. It's so obviously coming home.
A man who played like he always had something to prove, mostly to his manager, sometimes to the fans. I have been looking forward to retiring the word clutch, but it ain't to be (Mikel Merino seems to have other ideas). Goodnight sweet prince, and good luck. We'll always have West Ham away. 🇧🇪👀🇧🇪❤️
I watched this last night. Bonkers tale about the French team at the disastrous 2010 World Cup. Disappointed to say that Patrice Evra comes across well in it, delighted to say that William Gallas does not. Anyway it's a must watch, je crois.
A bit blasphemous for fans of the King Asiatic, nevertheless I begrudgingly find this funny.
Messi, Mbappe, Haaland, Kane yeah ok... but finally the World Cup MVP has entered the arena. Let the tournament begin.
Micky Quinn is gonna do more media in the few days before the season starts than he's done in 33 years. I remember listening to the first half outside Highbury ticket office as couldn't afford what the touts were asking.
Got sent a screenshot of this, so apologies for not crediting properly. Very much in the keeping receipts business myself, so this kind of pettiness is entirely relevant to my interests. Declan Rice > Yves Bissouma.
Now we've, y'know, won the league and that, and I'm feeling all peace and love etc... My petty dislike of Unai Emery & recent distaste for Villa ( a club I've traditionally always liked) shouldn't stop me bigging up their recent tifo of Benjamin Zephaniah. An incredible poet and artist. Chapeau.
Been looking smug about league titles since Nineteen Ninety Longtime ago, it turns out 😆
Some bloke at Budapest airport just looked at my bruised banana tracksuit top, touched his heart, pumped his fist and gave me a wink, and I thought I was going to burst into tears of happiness. It’s definitely time to come home innit. And sleep. Mmm sleep. ❤️🤍💛💙
I feel more emotional about the time I’ve spent with my tribe than the result. Incredible days with people I have been going football with for over 25 years, new friends who’ve become good pals cos of the work I do, pod fans, & random people who have come up to chat. All The Arsenal. What a club ❤️🤍
Pictures just in of Keith Dover preparing for his trip to Budapest this weekend.
Meanwhile, been walking around Championsville taking pictures of proper joy. cheers! 🥂
Panic At Wembley Park.... Bernardo Silva spotted this morning outside the pawn shop, trying to get a good price for the FA Cup. Bit niche I know but stay with me on this.
Happy content devouring days ahoy. Our @tuesdayclub.bsky.social contribution will be with you about the same amount of time it took for your heart to re-start after that Raya save.
Having a mix. Another 60 minutes used up. Good process everybody. Almost there.
A bit like when the Academy went for Driving Miss Daisy over Do The Right Thing. I mean *even* Lord Henry of Winter voted for Declan Rice. Anyway.. 'k 'em all.
In case you were still wondering whether we’re gonna have to do this damn thing our own self…
I'm not on Tuesday Club today because as well as producing Guardian Football Weekly, Max kindly invited me on the other side of the mic today to talk about last night - bolstering the Arsenal ranks alongside Nicky Bandini. "I didn't realise I was on the Arsecast today" Barry cheerily added. 📻⚽
"Grandpa, tell me again about the great Rice / Caicedo debate of 2023... Was it *really* a thing?"
