I tend to agree, but I don't think this applies to these particular reviews of DH. It seems like both Sly and Tom really tried to play the game on its terms, but found deep contradictions. E.g. The rules say combat is "exciting" and a "prominent aspect of play," but it ends up being flat and boring.
