Food carries stories across generations. Through his work as a culinary historian and writer, Michael Twitty has explored the intersections of Black, Jewish, and LGBTQ+ identities, helping us better understand the histories that shape our communities.

Stonewall wasn't just a protest. It was a refusal to accept that some people deserve less dignity, less freedom, or less belonging than others. 57 years later, that struggle continues — and so does our commitment to true equality for LGBTQ+ people.

Harvey Milk believed that visibility could be transformative. As a proud Jew and one of the first openly gay elected officials in the U.S., he helped pave the way for future generations to participate more fully in civic and public life.

Edith Windsor turned personal loss into lasting change. Her challenge to the Defense of Marriage Act helped expand legal recognition and dignity for LGBTQ+ families across the country — and set the stage for marriage equality to become the law of the land.

One year ago today, the Boulder community was targeted in a violent act of antisemitism. We remember Karen Diamond and all those impacted -- and refuse to accept antisemitism and violence as “normal.”

"They" are human beings. As Jews, we know all too well where government propaganda like this leads. This is white supremacist extremism that inevitably fuels violence.
